A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Minnesota. I have been a Registered Nurse for almost 10 years. My experience includes working in a clinic setting, but most of my career was spent in a hospital. I have been in the postpartum unit for the past 7+ years. My true passion lies within this specialty! I have dedicated extra time to my practice by achieving a certification in Maternal Newborn.
Being a registered nurse through a global pandemic was eye opening, to say the least. The last several years everyone has been impacted in some way or another. I {barely} survived and felt a calling for something better for me and my family. I wanted to do something more fulfilling and impact others in a way that I could be my best self through the process. During this time of reflection, Nurtured Connection was birthed and my passion for taking care of babies and their mamas was solidified. Furthermore, after the birth of my own children, I knew there had to be more to help families during the "fourth trimester". My heart is set on meeting new moms right where they are and providing support when it's needed most.
Who I am
I am a passionate and motivated postpartum doula. I am a dedicated wife and mother who loves deeply. I am confident I can help you through whatever you may be facing as a new parent. I am here to support and partner with you through this new life event. If I cannot immediately answer a question I promise to discover the appropriate response and guide you forward.
What I love
I love contributing to my community and being part of the change in this world. Spending time with my husband and our two kids {5 year old boy and 3 year old girl} truly fills my heart and brings me joy. I love going for walks. New adventures inspire me. I really enjoy reading. Music moves me. I enjoy cooking and discovering delicious new recipes.
